When it involves devotion in parenthood, few species surpass the aggressive and pugnacious nature of the African cichlid referred to as the jewel fish. within the aquarium cichlid hobby, two different species are referred to as jewel fish, the one discussed during this article is that the Hemichromis bimaculatus.


The other is that the larger Hemichromis fasciatus that's totally undesirable for the house aquarium. The jewelfish won't hesitate to attack a person's hand and bite hard to discourage any threat to its young. This fish is certainly not recommended for a community aquarium.
